Konichi-wa, Hiroki! I remember our tour in Japan because we all had the best time there! I love Japan and can't wait to get back there. Hopefully someday I will. I won't be able to forget the gig(s) forever, either! They were amazing. I wish all of my friends here in the United States could have seen us play there. The Japanese fans were lucky because we were at the end of our tour, and we had been playing together for nine months straight, and were extremely "tight" (well rehearsed). Combine that with the fact that the Japanese fans were so happy and enthusiastic to see us play, and it just made the shows incredible for us, and for you.
As far as live footage of the Tokyo shows, I only have pieces of video of the show. From a T.V. interview that we did. I'm still mad because I set my camera up to tape the Tokyo Club Quatro show on the second night, and our Road manager forgot to turn the camera on! That would have been great to have! But, since I only have a little bit of footage (I think I have all of "Boy or a girl" on tape), I will make sure to put all of it on there for you.
Again, and like I told everybody else, please be patient. I will do everything possible to make this tape, but it will take lots of time. Hang in there. It will be worth the wait, I promise you!
I just wanted to tell you a little story about Japan. On the day we were leaving tokyo, We all said goodbye to all of our Japanese Sony representatives and assistants who helped us with everything there. We left the Hotel and drove in the van towards the Airport. The van ride took a little while to get to the Airport. We were all looking out the windows. Everybody was very quiet. Then, for no reason, I looked at Roger, and he looked at me. He said,"God, this is depressing!". I just nodded back. It was the end of the tour. It was then end of Japan (for us). And now, we had a long, LONG flight back to America. Back to America where hardly anybody bought our record or knew who we were. And we had just spent about a week in this country which is about the size of California, the state where we live, and everybody LOVED us. It was very emotional. To go so far away from home, to be so appreciated, and then go back to our home where nobody knew us. That was sad.
Domo Arrigato Gazaymas, Hiroki!
