Hey Dragsters,

Just wanted to know if anyone else appreciates or is a fan of the films of Ken Russell.

I have loved his work for a while now and after the response to the Tommy reference, just wondered if any fellow Dragsters like Russell's filmwork.

I believe, he's an incredibly talented filmmaker whom I don't feel is truely appreciated. His films are grandiose(even by today's standards, I was hugely impressed by the scale of the production of his film version of Tommy upon a recent viewing), perverse(just about any film he has done), intelligent and funny.

I say he's deserving of more attention, bigger budget projects(his last two films were shot by him with little or no budget on a camcorder; don't get me wrong, I love that he's doing this, but I want to see more of what he's capable of with some money), and some awards of recognition for his body of work.

I'm sorry that this has little to do with Imperial Drag, but most of the Dragsters here seem to have an admiration of film.

Have a great weekend Dragsters!
