Question: Did he direct the movie Gothic?

-Yes.

You should also check out (if you can find it) a really bizzarro film he did in the mid-to-late seventies called "Lizstomania". It stars Roger Daltrey as Franz Lizst and the guy who played Cousin Kevin from Tommy (his name escapes me now - Paul something...) - as Wagner. The film is every bit as "Ken Russell-ish" as one might hope for (or expect) - one of the film's high points (or low points, depending on your perspective) is a scene where Roger Daltrey as Lizst has a demented fantasy about having a thirty-foot erection (complete with veins & all) while dream women worship it and lasso it with scarves & ribbons, like some throbbing maypole or something. The scene ends with his humungous phallus being directed into a giant, penile Guillotine by some of the women in his life that he "dissed" (I honestly think that if I had a "Giant Penis" fantasy - and I'm not saying either way if I have - I'm pretty damn sure that there wouldn't be a Guillotine in it!). Oh, and there's also a scene where he falls into a Gigantic Vagina. I think Freud could've written his Masters thesis on this film.

Oh, and "Altered States", "Lair of the White Worm", and "Tommy" are my favorites.

Peace, out, Yo!
