Went to see a friend of mine/guy I'm collaborating with play at an in-store performance near Ann Arbor, MI. : : : AND...finally got around to ordering "Phantom of the Paradise" on DVD after the posts here a while ago reminded me that I've been wanting to see it for over 10 years now. It should be arriving soon along with "The Abominable Dr. Phibbes," "Tales of Terror," and "Sweet Charity" (just to balance it all out). : : : trying to avoid work today. work is dumb. : : : : : : : I've seen orange county! It's got Sugarbomb on it's soundtrack so it was kind of a 'must see'. it is very funny though! : : : : Things have been 'interesting' in my life.W e sold our house, packed virtually everything - including this trusty computer, and then the sale fell through. This was about three weeks ago. I've kinda given up waiting for another buyer to turn up and have started to unpack the really important stuff - the computer, the imperial drag album etc. : : : : Played the album again today, this time in the presence of my girlfriend, who has only heard it once before. She wasn't sure last time, but really seems to like it this time round. She did come up with a few cheeky questions - firstly, in the image of Roger and Charlotte (is that her name, i forget?) in the bubble on the inside sleeve, is charlotte holding Roger up, or is he standing on a box? roger is fairly 'not tall' and he seems pretty damn tall in the photo!!! Secondly - is Eric really into s&m? if so, is it a vice particular to him, or is it rampant within the LA music scene? Or is it just an interest in the more lurid sides of life? : : : : Anyway - enough cheeky questions. This past while I have mostly been listening too the 'Rooney' album which is really good and loads of old 10cc stuff. Looking forward to the new Super Furry Animals album in a few weeks, and the Sleepy Jackson album. Can't get my head around these 'kings of leon' people. bought the album, but it just seems to sound like the Strokes. Don't understand the hype. It's not bad, it's just... *shrugs* : : : : Tom. : : : : : : : So glad someone's broken the silence... : : : : : Everything's cool here in sunny South Yorkshire (well, we've had a few days without rain this summer so far!!)... : : : : : School's out for summer! I've broken up from college till September, but I'm doing an exhibition this Thursday - full hair, makeup, body painting on the theme of "Cocktails". I'm doing "Blue Hawaiian"; an Elvis hairstyle is incorporated in the design! : : : : : Music-wise, nothing much - I've not been to many gigs lately. Film-wise, I've seen "Orange County" starring Jack Black - do yourselves a favour and rent it if you've not already seen it.
