icky, frankly, after reading your message, nothing could get me down. This is really the stuff you guys sent out to record labels? The fact that i've got a copy some these has just about made my year - what more could a dragster wish for (actually, let's not go into that):). While not being one actively support such enterprises, especially after paying £10 for copies of the songs, most of them, for those who don't already know, are available on audiogalaxy. share the joy!!!
the trracklisting on my cd is as follows, and all are available for download: could've been you, gypsy sister, hey, honey please, i would pay to buy it (HA HA HA), look over my shoulder, suck out, superstar, suzie suicide, she cries alnight, and mother nature.
As mentioned, the sound on some is fairly dodgy - but, considering what they actually are, we'd be mad to complain!!!
What would, of course, be better though, is icky's suggestion. Icky, i suspect, you may find some very willing people here, very open to anything you can hassle out of Roger. Feel free to hassle Roger anyway, of course. I do have a Roger related question for you, again, it's probably been asked before, but i know nothing, it seems. It's about the name change - from Roger Manning to Roger Joseph Manning Jr. I ask, because audiogalaxy also have songs that appear under both these names - solo material??? Are both artists him - or is there some mix-up, and one's someone entirely different? Can't remember titles, something about 'looking at the sun' or possibly the sky. If anyone out there already has copies - the supply of info would be much welcome.
Also, icky, i read one of your previous postings about old school jellyfish fans. I hold my hand up in admittence. It was actually something that had occured to me before ever posting on the site, that i would let my passion reveal my true, sinister - i have no doubt - identity. I am a fan to the point where i have brought vertually every affiliated disc from members without previously hearing a note. This faith was earned, and here's my point, and it was earned basically due to imperial drag. It was, i believe one of the first post - split releases, and it's general greatness allowed me the faith to buy the others - jason's solo, the grays, umajets, beck, air, moog cookbook etc. The related band members, including your goodself, have jet to fail me (we'll leave andy out of this shall we - though the merrymakers songs he produced were quite cool).
Anyway this posting go long enough. Hassle Roger, sort something - new stuff, especially when there appears to be so little :( is always going to be greatly appreciated.

Tom.

: Regarding the demo's you guys have been downloading off mp3, Napster, Gnutella, or whatever, I think you should all know that the reason most of the songs you guys are getting sound crappy is because most of them came from actual demos circulating around the record labels at the time, most of which were only recorded on cheap, mass-produced cassettes which, as we all know, are good for about one or two listens, tops. I have actually been bugging Roger for copies of them for years because, believe it or not, I don't even have most of them! The one I'm dying to get from him the most, are the demos of the stuff we were doing for the second record (oooooooh, wouldn't you like to get your grubby, little paws on THOSE!). Roger's always so damn BUSY that God only knows when I'll get them. I was actually thinking of trying to talk him into letting me put together a little (and unauthorized, Ssshh!) collection of the demos for the fans who, surprisingly enough, are clamoring for them. You guys deserve better than just crappy, second rate copies of them, right? he's got all of them locked away in his closet somewhere, I just have to wrest them from his little hands (I'm much bigger than him, though - shouldn't be hard).

: I'll get back to you on this one. Be patient.

: : i wonder if that's where the stuff on the c.d. came from - the very nice man (this may, or may not, be sarcasim) who sold it to me was not exactly forthcoming!! What was the sound like on, for instance, could've been you - on the disc it is very muddy - it sounds like it was recorded on tape, and the tape has since warped. thanxs for response through :)
