There's a strange thing that happens on the Jellylist. Everyone clamours for real news, occassionally berating those who stray off- topic. Then, when some real news comes along... silence... not a word!
Anyway, the story came first-hand from Harris, who has a mate who works at Ocean Way studio in LA, where Bellybutton was recorded and engineered by (Joseph?) Puig.
Harris reported that, for the Jellybox, Mr Puig had brought out a load of A+ quality live soundboard tapes, and Roger and Andy had been in to master / mix these.
Apparently, the Jellybox has brought them back together for the first time since the split (don't know if that's strictly true or not), and whilst they'd not been on best of terms since then, they've made up to the degree that they pulled the arm-in-arm stunt that Harris described.
It sounds like Puig was pretty stunned to see this, given their previously fall out. (I'm probably messing up the subtleties of Harris's story, but that's the gist.)
So, no formal or professional reunion - not in the sense that we would like to see I guess, but... coupled with the recent news that Andy had asked Eric if he's interested in working on a project together... well, it's easy to see how one could read too much into all of this.
The original email should be available in the jelly digest - failing which, perhaps post to the list asking Harris to re-tell the story.
