That just reminded me of something else accent-related, as in bad, very unconvincing, etc...
If anyone has ever seen VH-1's 'biopic' of Def Leppard, don't be convinced by the accents on it as they are really crap - what I mean is, Def Leppard are from Sheffield (my hometown) and I don't think anyone at VH-1 knows how anyone speaks outside of London, or maybe someone watched 'The Full Monty' once so thinks they know how a Sheffield accent sounds!
By the way, another reason why the film is crap -it has Anthony Michael Hall (blonde nerdy one in Weird Science) playing Mutt Lange - uber-rock producer! Need I say more?!
: yeah but even worse than that was the accent given to Daphnes brother in Frasier, trust me, as someone from near Manchester NONE of us talk like that! It was a like a bad cockney impression!

: : Hey, Isn't Mary Poppins like, the most offensive thing to Brits because of Dick Van Dyke's "'orrible" "Cockney" accent? My favourite (Note: British spelling - nerdy Anglophile) is when he sings,"Coo, wot a soight!" (Falls off chair laughing). Coo, indeed, my fellow Yank. Coo, indeed.
