:Will somebody please tell me why anybody would want to see Air play live?:

I have to agree, Icky. Air is one of my most favourite bands right now, but their live shows leave much to be desired. They are not the most charismatic performers out there.

Solution:

I think a strong visual element(light show, projected films) added to their live performance would go a long way.

Sorry to hear about Coachella this year, Ick. Commodification(a word introduced to me by a friend) is never a good thing.

Speaking of Vincent Gallo, has anyone seen his film, The Brown Bunny? It has a great fellatio scene between the well-endowed Gallo and Chloe Sevigny. That scene alone is worth the price of admission.

Also, any fans of Brian Jonestown Massacre and Dandy Warhols should be on the look out for a film called, DIG. It stars both bands. I know I'm looking out for it at this years Toronto Intl. Film Festival.

P.S.
James Hall and his latest outfit, Pleasure Club, have a new CD out called, The Fugitive Kind. Incase anyone is interested.

P.S.S.
I just discovered an AMAZING new band called Bobby Conn and the Glass Gypsies. Really, really good band and their latest CD is called, The Homeland(released on Thrill Jockey Records). Check them out before they get too big.

Just wanted to share.
