I loved Jellyfish, but had never bothered buying spin offs like the umajets or jason (I wish i had, i love jason's music now!), but i read somewhere Roger had formed a new band, and when i was in Manchester (prob oct 96) i found a one track promo cd for Boy or a girl (99p) and bought it without having heard it. And i LOVED it! A few days later i was in the city again and found the 4 track promo (boy or a girl and 3 album tracks) for 99p, bought that too as well as the normal 4 track single (and the 7inch vinyl). So in the space of less than a week and without having heard them on the radio or anything id got 7 new songs - and then i bought the album, and booked to see them in manchester when they played in november 1996. The only time i ever saw the band on tv (never heard em on the radio) was on TFI Friday performing boy or a girl :) (I think ive got some bad screenshots i made from that somewhere.. i'll post em later if you want)
And that is how i first heard ID :)
