Hello. I have been a die-hard Jellyfish fan for over 2 years, but only this week got to hear the glorious music of Imperial Drag. I was lucky enough to find the album a few months ago in Kansas City, but I had not listened to it yet due to a misconception I somehow think I got from the Jelly-L that it was metal. I don't know if it was just my warped memory, or if someone really did say that, but needless to say it is not metal. A couple of days ago I popped in the CD, and fell hopelessly in love. As I informed my mother today, I anticipate that for the next 6 months at least every other word out of my mouth will be either Imperial, Drag, Eric, Roger, Joe or Icky (or Eric). Yes, you heard right...my mother, why do I still live with my mom? Because I'm 17, and probably the youngest Jellyfish/ID fan on earth! =) (plus she loves 'em too, so why would I move?) Anyway, back to the subject at hand...Brilliance, sheer fucking brilliance! I know that you all went through this stage already, like 5 years ago...but it's still new and exciting for me and I just had to share. And of course now I need to know all the fabulous information from anyone who might be willing to share...Videos? Bootlegs? Tee-Shirts? Merchandise? Reunions? Demos? Info of any kind? Can these things be found, will they ever happen, did they happen? Anything would be greatly appreciated. =)
btw - for the Jellyheads...I don't know who knows this but I met Roger last May (saw him play with Beck) and he told me that he was going to be working on an album in the summer with Jason Falkner and Brian from Redd Kross. Then, I followed a tour for the summer, and the tour manager of the opening band had been the tour manager for Imperial Drag and apparently keeps in touch because he told me at the last show (October 22nd) that he had talked to Roger the day before, and that Roger/Jason/Brian had finished the first song. I'm sure this is old news and you all know the band name and album title and all of that wonderful stuff, and I don't since I accidentally Unsubscribed from the Bride of Jelly-L, and can't seem to get back on it...but I thought I would share just in case you didn't!
