My brief visit to San Francisco and Oakland was lots of fun, I laughed I cired, and yes -- I ate lots!!! Tapas, Dim Sum (But NOT in Chinatown grrrr), Peruvian food, etc. Paid homage to Haight street. Ran into an old friend even...
The purpose of the trip -- to visit historic Dunsmuir House and Gardens in Oakland. This 37 room mansion was featured in a creepy old horror movie that has completely warped my mind since early childhood -- Burnt Offerings. (Hard to find, but worth it!) And seeing the house in the "flesh" was pretty damn scary too, despite the fact it was family day and there were puppet shows and carriage rides.... But children visiting are good for the house, insert creepy music and maniacal laughter here....
All in all a fun time....
