Hey fellow ID Fans...Saw them last night (9-25) at The Rubb
in Ybor City (Tampa). The show was awesome. Hung out with
Eric D. and Roger after. Cool guys. Also met Satomi, a very
nice girl from Japan. I didn't get a set list,
but they signed an album square for me. The
crowd was probably 70-30 for The Nixons, but I have
feeling by the response to the "too short"(aprox.9 songs)
set, that that probably changed.(ie.that got some new fans.)
There was probably about 200 people. I like smaller more
intimate shows, but for thier sake I hope more people
discover them. That was a problem for Jellyfish.
I'm a huge fan of them. I partied with them about 3+
years ago on the Spilt Milk tour. And I have a freind
in L.A.that knows Andy Sturmer. Anyway, way off the subject.
Back to the Dragsters...My wife and I had a blast, and they sounded
great. I may be selfish, but I hope they don't get to big
for people like us to lose contact with. Eric and I clicked, felt like I
knew him for years. I wish he had more time to "party" with us.
Maybe next time.
Anyway, just wanted to drop a line to some people that share a common
fondness for the Dragsters. Drop me a line sometime.
